You have been on an antibiotic for at least 24 hours and your medical provider has given permission to return to school. You have strep throat or another bacterial infection. You are released by your medical provider to return to school. You have had a hospital stay or visited the hospital emergency room. You are free from drainage and/or have been evaluated by your doctor, if needed. You have an eye infection, with redness, itching and/or pus draining from the eye. You have treated the lice with appropriate treatment at home. You have an itchy head with active head lice. You are free from rash, itching or fever, and have been evaluated by your doctor, if needed. You have a body rash with itching or fever. You have been free from diarrhea for 24 hours. You have been free from vomiting for 24 hours. You have vomited within the past 24 hours. You are fever free without the assistance of medication for 24 hours (i.e. You have a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Should I come to school today? Stay home if: Salmon River Central School District will notify students, families and staff if there are any changes to protocols throughout the 2022-23 school year. However, if the student is sick, they should be kept at home until the symptoms improve.Īdditionally, a child who has heavy cold symptoms, such as excessive runny nose, deep or uncontrollable coughing or significant lack of energy, should remain at home until symptoms improve. Negative COVID-19 tests are also no longer required for students looking to return to school. However, students and staff are welcome to wear them based upon their personal preference.Ĭurrently, no quarantine or contact tracing are required for close contacts.
